GOLF FITNESS TRAINING CLASS

This small group, ongoing, personal training class is designed to teach you how to work out with more specificity with the goal being to improve your golf fitness while keeping you healthy as you continue playing golf. It includes core strengthening, flexibility, balance, and posture training and is taught by Terry Bunker, PT. Terry has been a licensed physical therapist since 1980. In addition, he is a Titleist Certified Golf Fitness Instructor and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer.

To comply with appropriate social distancing guidelines, the class is limited to six participants per class for four weeks. The total cost is $80 for LCF members. We welcome non-members for the complete program at a cost of $100. This class meets on Mondays from 9 to 10 am.

At Life Changing Fitness, we realize that is not the common case. Each program is specifically designed around the individual based from their personal fitness evaluation that is performed by our professional physical therapists. Thus, eliminating movements that would not be beneficial or necessary to the client and being performed simply because they are the latest trend. Through experience and education, our team is dedicated to guiding our clients towards a healthier, stronger and pain-free lifestyle.

PERSONAL FITNESS EVALUATION

Members can purchase an evaluation by a Personal Trainer or a Physical Therapist and let our team recommend a plan that is personalized to fit your specific needs.

PT Solutions works in conjunction with Life Changing Fitness on completing your fitness evaluation. This evaluation includes assessing functional strength, flexibility, posture, previous medical history, and cardiovascular status. This allows us to determine your current physical fitness level, and set goals to reach your optimum health. The Personal Fitness Evaluation utilizes a Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and specific evaluation of every joint and major muscle group of your body. After identifying areas of weakness or limited flexibility, a specific fitness program based on your needs and goals is designed for you.

Our philosophy at Life Changing Fitness is to help our clients make healthy changes in their daily eating and exercise patterns. We believe that in order to accomplish this, we must first develop an understanding of each client’s eating and exercise behavior. A nutritionist then makes recommendations for a diet that will facilitate weight loss.

We also understand that approximately 2/3 of adults are either classifies as overweight or obese. These clients may require more aggressive weight loss options. We offer physician-supervised medications designed to promote weight loss, in a safe and effective manner. Our staff works with you to achieve your goals.

“I was born and raised in Colorado but have lived in Tyler since 2011. I have two boys, Jett (15) and Koen (12).
I received my bachelors degree from Harding university in Searcy, AR; completed my dietetic internship at UAMS in Little Rock, AR, and have been a registered dietitian for over 20 years. I have a wide variety of experience in the firld of nutrition including acute/critical care, bariatrics, pediatrics, weight management, out-patient counseling and diabetes education. I have always had a passion for fitness and achieved a long-term goal of becoming a certified personal trainer in 2020. I believe ANY kind of nutrition counseling, education, or training must be individualized for you and based on client goals. My goals are your goals!”
